OIC Envoy discussed HR Situation in IOK with Minister Kashmir Affairs

Special Envoy of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) on Jammu & Kashmir, Ambassador Yousef Al Dobeay called on Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur here in Islamabad today. The meeting discussed the human rights condition in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and Indian aggression on Line of Control (LOC) in Azad Kashmir.

Lauding the role of OIC on Kashmir dispute, the Federal Minister said, OIC has always extended unflinching support to Pakistan’s principle stance on issue of Jammu & Kashmir. People of Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir attach great importance to support of OIC on issue of Jammu & Kashmir, he added. The Minister said that Special Envoy’s visit to Pakistan and Azad Kashmir was clear expression of the importance of this issue to OIC.

Highlighting the Indian atrocities and state terrorism in Indian occupied Kashmir, the Federal Minister said that Indian occupying forces were carrying out ethnic and economic cleansing of people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir with impunity. He further said that Indian was following Hindu Fascist ideology and was killing Muslims to fulfill its evil designs.

The Minister also highlighted the Indian aggression on Line of Control (LOC) in Azad Kashmir and said that Indian armed forces were continuously targeting the civilian population on LOC. The Minister also urged the world community to play its active role in peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolutions. Reiterating the support of OIC on Kashmir dispute, the Special envoy said that OIC would continue to extend its support to right of self determination of people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Expressing his deep concerns on Indian aggression on LOC, the special envoy said that his delegation would visit LOC in Azad Kashmir. The meeting also discussed the future course of action of OIC regarding efforts for peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute in detail.
